Aha, I guess it is not what you are thinking about. 😉
- Fear
Every so often, I see students concentrating so much on the possibility of failure that they forget what they must do and their fear become a self fulfilling prophecy. The more you are afraid of something, the more likely it is going to happen because you cannot focus on what needs to be done and both your body and mind freezes. Learn to accept failures happily because it provides the foundation for future successes, to take hits without taking the full impact and make them pay, to fall without hurting yourself and get right back up to try again. Take pride in having that mental/physical toughness to stand back up despite the number of fails and you will find that illusive relaxation and confidence that everybody talks about.
Fear of change or going out of your normal pattern is also major handicap in learning. Children can learn so fast because they crave for new challenges, don’t let yourself get old mentally. - Frustration
Emotions affect movement patterns, timing and flow, it affects logical thinking, planning and priority setting. Striving to succeed and having the passion are both awesome because without that, you will never reach your full potential. However, if you let emotions swing you around, your movement and decisions will become predictable (by your opponent), you will tend to give up much before you reach your physical limits. - Fatigue
Fatigue can be physical or mental. Aside from training, physical fatigue can be deferred by using muscles efficiently, alternating muscle groups, using them only when needed, pacing yourself as appropriate.
Mental fatigue can be avoided by changing up your training, change the pace, emphasis, interact, cross train, play, respect the rest cycle because it is important physically as well as mentally. Standing meditation, slow movements, repetitions all help push your mental boundaries and attention span. - Face
Some act crazy when they an audience. Some folk’s fear of embarrassment causes them to stay quiet and leave questions unanswered, some won’t call for help when they should and wasted valuable time, some avoid public speaking and performances for the same reason. Pride is good until it constantly cause you to be on the defensive or become your purpose. Bad application of pride not only hurt learning but friendship and relationships as well.

While the above discussion can be applied to many aspect of life, for your homework, identify what you are doing to prepare yourself against each of the category. As an example, ‘fear of getting hit’ is very real and how have you been preparing yourself to overcome it. etc.
